Two days and counting until I'm off to Italy! I'll be there for 75 days, traveling with a small group of fellow Smithies. We start in Rome, then go to Otranto, then to Ferrara, Assisi, and Parma. I'll hopefully be seeing Florence, Venice, Bologna, and as many other places as I can get to on weekends in between. I'll be taking culinary classes at the Institute of Professional State Alberghio & Tourism in Otranto, Ferrara, and Assisi, and at Academia Barilla in Parma.

This blog will hopefully be my main communication to friends and family back home, as I don't know how much time I'll have to e-mail or phone or Skype- I also intend to send as many postcards as possible, though, so if I don't have your address or student mailbox #, send it to me now!
